takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Facilities Coordinator to join our team in Cape Town

The position reports to the Facilities Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide first line contact for the Facilities Department for all internal and external customers/contractors
- Liaise with suppliers/contractors to follow through on approved work.
- Perform regular building inspections and maintain inspection documentation.
- Assist in the compliance of the Health and Safety policy and safe working practices and run with Health and Safety initiatives as needed.
- Respond to building emergencies as needed and be a member of the emergency response team
- Plans and facilitates employee desk moves
- Collection of post and packages from SAPO
- Oversees installation, inspections, repairs and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and facility equipment when required
- Use the existing ticket system (Jira) to track open requests and to provide regular updates
- User access management via the existing access control system
- Retrieving CCTV footage or access control logs when required, provided necessary approval has been given by Exco
- Assist with managing parking allocation based on company policy
- Oversee Cleaning Contractors and resolve office hygiene issues
- Assist the Facilities Manager with stock and cost control

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Experience with HSE compliance and legislation a plus
- Competency in MS Office packages
- Relevant tertiary qualifications a plus
