Job role

The Supplier Manager is responsible for performing supplier related risk analysis and assessments as well as managing the assigned team/s according to the Allianz Leadership values and People Attributes. He/she will support Allianz SE Global Sourcing & Procurement (GSP).


What you will do
  • Perform supplier risk assessments with focus on Human Rights and ESG topics along a defined process
  • Monitor high-risk suppliers and initiate follow-up activities with relevant stake holding functions and suppliers to define mitigating countermeasures for the identified risks
  • End-to-end responsibility for the assigned S2C operations (Supplier Onboarding, Vendor Integrity Screening, etc.) and the related team in India to ensure a smooth and high-quality service delivery
  • Enable a strong collaboration between Indian S2C Team and Global Procurement Enablement departments
  • Manage the allocation of tasks as well as the workload within the team to properly ensure business continuity by prioritization and de-prioritization of topics
  • Define and create different reports for Global Sourcing and Procurement to manage and steer the function on a data driven basis
  • Develop and document process and training material based on customer’s requirements
  • Evaluate and identify business needs, analyze and interpret requirements as well as prepare them after evaluation together with the project team for implementation

What you bring
  • Master/Bachelor's degree in Economic Studies, Risk Management, Law, Politics with focus on Human Rights or similar
  • Experience in Supply Chain related regulations, such as German Supply Chain Act, Modern Slavery Act, etc.
  • Experience in Procurement processes and/or operations
  • Experience in Ariba S2C
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office
  • Fluent English written and spoken, any other language will be an advantage

You have
  • Experience in managing and cooperating with international teams
  • Strong in communicating with different (Senior) Management levels and stakeholders across different functions
  • Expertise in organizational transformation and change management
  • Ability to think structured and in processes as well as consider dependencies to ensure deliverables relate to operating plans
  • Strong Management skills such as problem solving, clear expectation management and establishment of trustful relationships
